Victoria Moxey

Director Programs, Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Victoria is the Director of Programs at the Office of 24-Hour Economy Commissioner leading a portfolio of place-based economic development programs – such as the Purple Flag accreditation scheme and the Uptown District Acceleration Program – to support a more vibrant, diverse and safe 24-hour economy for Sydney and NSW.

Prior to joining Team 24, Victoria was Head of City Business at City of Sydney where she was responsible for the implementation of the City’s economic development strategy across various priority sectors including tourism, retail, hospitality and the knowledge economy; as well as working with government and industry to promote Sydney globally as a vibrant, innovative and creative city to attract visitors, talent and investment.

Victoria was also the Founder and CEO of Urban Walkabout (2006-17), a digital and print media company promoting distinctive urban precincts, creative businesses and unique urban experiences across major cities in Australia and UK to a global audience.

During her earlier career she spent +10 years in the advertising and marketing industry, working for agencies including JWT Argentina, Saatchi & Saatchi and EPG World as Regional Manager for South America developing strategies for consumer brands such as Coca Cola, Cadbury and Procter & Gamble.

She holds a BA in Economics from Davidson College (USA), an MA in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA) and a Master in Design from COFA (UNSW).
